The PMI–PBA® is a professional certification provided by the Project Management Institute for individuals engaged with stakeholders who identify business needs and influence project outcomes. It certifies proficiency in business analysis principles and methodologies.

PMI requires: A bachelor’s degree  with 4,500 hours (about 3 years) of experience in business analysis work within the last 8 years.

For candidates without a bachelor’s degree: 7,500 hours (about 5 years)of experience in the last 8 years and a 35 hour training education is desired.

The course encompasses the five PMI–PBA® domains: Needs Assessment, Stakeholder Engagement, Elicitation, Analysis, and Traceability & Monitoring, in addition to tools, ethics, and examination preparation methodologies.

Affirmative. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate for 35 hours, necessary for the exam application.

 The course is an online program with video lectures, practice questions and assignments or live instructor-led sessions.

You will obtain training slides, subject-specific study notes, practice questions, case studies, examination preparation guides and access to a mock examination simulator.

The examination has 200 multiple-choice questions, to be completed within 4 hours. It is available at Pearson VUE testing facilities or through online proctoring.
